Kuixuan (Adam) Ma is the head of US customer engagement at Walmart, where he provides thought leadership and market expertise to create vision and strategy across a complex technology ecosystem - including customer communication, personalization, big data, and targeting & segmentation platforms. As a product owner for CRM strategy, including Walmart Plus, he brings together internal and external stakeholders to collaborate powerfully under tight timelines. The results are consistently greater than the sum of the teams contributing individually. A natural collaborator, Adam enjoys building teams to increase their value to the organization and mentoring individuals to foster their career development.

Before Walmart, Adam was a senior product development manager at American Express where he transformed the ambiguity of nascent ideas into the clarity of outstanding customer-centered experiences. Results oriented, he has been versatile in applying multiple methodologies (e.g., User Experience, Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall) to ensure projects are on time and on budget.
Adam offers expertise in automating and streamlining workflow processes through value stream mapping and BPM, which he employs to re-engineer complex business processes. He is passionate about analyzing data to drive product development, ultimately to increase revenues and reduce costs.
Adam brings both business and technical acumen to his enthusiasm for big data. He holds an MBA as well as an MSIS. His credentials also include PMP, Certified Scrum Master, and Lean Six Sigma black belt.
Multilingual, Adam savors traveling internationally to order exotic dishes in English, his native Mandarin, and basic Japanese. An avid theatergoer and ballet fan, in his rare daydreaming moments, you may catch him humming the “Waltz of the Snowflakes.” His favorite avocation that bridges his passions for business and the arts is comedy improvisation.
