Alejandro Saucedo

AI & Tech executive with extensive experience leading eng/sci/product organisations. Currently leading the Engineering, Science, Product & Analytics behind the large-scale AI & Data platforms powering Supply & Demand for Zalando's 15b+ EUR business across our 50m+ active customers. I am responsible for one of Zalando's central petabyte-scale data platforms, and several SotA machine learning systems powering critical use-cases across the organization (Forecasting, MMM, Geo-A/B Testing, MLOps, etc). I am currently appointed as AI Expert at the United Nations & the European Commission, Board Member at the ACM, and Scientific Advisor at the Institute for Ethical AI, where I have led key contributions to EU policy, including the AI Act, the Data Act and the Digital Services Act, among others.
