Alicia Sebastien is a Houston, Texas native who has prided herself on continued professional and personal growth.
After experiencing a layoff in August 2019 from the Oil & Gas sector and facing another job transition due to contractual changes in November 2022 she decided to document her journey in transition. After reflecting on these experiences; she decided to share practices in which were acquired and helpful in her obtaining her next opportunity.
In doing so; an e-book was created; which can be used for anyone who is interested in seeking new opportunities or has experienced unplanned job loss.
She has successfully pivoted into her third career, working in career consulting for a global HR firm through job transition services for individuals affected by layoffs, as well as serving as an HR Information Systems Specialist in the insurance industry. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science.
One of Alicia’s passions is helping others reach their full potential.
Her candidates have come from variable industries including; insurance, pharmaceutical, automotive, healthcare, tech, oil and gas, banking and other large-scale providers. Companies in which candidates have worked for are Meta, Microsoft, Amazon, HP, Apple, Intel, JP Morgan Chase, and Wells Fargo to name a few.
She continues to challenge herself to learn more and do more within her capacity while also leveraging community through established relationship building. She hopes through this self help guide that it will provide the clarity and necessary steps in obtaining a meaningful and purposeful career.
