I am a Chartered Manager with close to a decade of hands-on leadership experience in the automotive engineering sector. My career has included senior roles such as Chief Engineer and Head of Programmes, where I led multidisciplinary teams delivering complex engineering projects and new product development programmes.
Having spent much of my career working at the intersection of engineering, leadership and business strategy, I understand the challenges engineers face when stepping into management roles for the first time. Technical expertise alone rarely prepares people for leading teams, influencing stakeholders, and delivering results through others.
I now work as a consultant supporting engineering and technology organisations with business development, operational improvement and the implementation of AI-enabled processes that reduce administrative workload and allow teams to focus on high-value engineering work.
I have also designed and delivered leadership and development programmes for engineers looking to move into management positions. My mentoring focuses on practical, real-world skills such as decision-making, communication, stakeholder management, building high-performing teams and navigating the transition from technical specialist to effective leader.
I aim to provide honest, practical guidance grounded in real industry experience, helping engineers accelerate their development and build confident, capable leadership careers.
