Pulkit Gupta
Web Solutions Engineer at Google
I’m a Software Engineer with a B.Tech in Computer Science from IIIT Hyderabad and experience across backend engineering, large-scale systems, microservices, and full-stack development. Currently, I work as a Web Solutions Engineer at Google. Over the years, I’ve mentored peers, juniors, and aspiring engineers through career transitions, interview preparation, and technical growth. My mentoring style is practical, structured, and rooted in real industry experience — across Big Tech interview processes as well as high-impact engineering teams.
I’ve helped many candidates break into top tech companies by coaching them on system design fundamentals, structured reasoning, communication clarity, and the mindset needed for Google-style interviews (GCA, RRK, and Googliness). I focus heavily on helping people understand how interviewers think, how to frame their answers, and how to demonstrate impact using clear, concise storytelling.
I’ve also guided people looking to transition from service-based organizations to product-driven tech roles. This includes refining their resumes for ATS, positioning their experience effectively, identifying growth gaps, and highlighting strong engineering narratives. Several of my mentees have successfully moved into roles at Big Tech, fintech companies, and fast-growing startups.
On the technical side, I offer mentorship in backend development (Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, MongoDB), scalable microservices architecture, API design, and distributed systems. I can also help with hands-on project planning — from conceptualizing portfolio projects to debugging system-design thought processes. For those exploring AI/ML, I share insights from real experience building sentiment analysis and sequence models for production use cases.
Beyond technical prep, I enjoy helping people gain clarity in their long-term career direction — whether it’s choosing between offers, planning a switch, or navigating early-career uncertainty. I’m especially good at simplifying complex decisions and helping mentees move from confusion to confidence.
My goal as a mentor is to be supportive, direct, and invested in your progress. I adapt my approach to your needs — whether you want mock interviews, resume feedback, career guidance, or help understanding how Big Tech evaluates candidates. If you’re looking to break into top companies, accelerate your engineering journey, or plan your next career move with clarity, I’m here to help.
Always happy to connect on general life topics as well and share honest conversations beyond just work and tech.
