Hi there! Since June 2020, I am working with with BMW AG as part the corporate strategy function. I am also part of ifmo, a research facility of the BMW Group, dealing with topics of future of mobility and sustainability and drawing findings into corporate foresight for BMW. I am also writing a doctoral thesis on business potential of mobility offerings based on autonomous driving in cities across US, Europe and China markets. My topics of interest include digitalization and electrification of automotive industry, new mobility, autonomous driving, circular economy and sustainability. Prior to my current role at BMW, I spent 13 years in the telecommunications industry in India with different organizations including Vodafone, Virgin Mobile, IMImobile, Lucent Technologies with responsibilities in business development, business strategy and product management. I have expertise in enterprise business development, product management and corporate strategy. I have held people management positions with P&L responsibilities in the past. I studied mechanical engineering (graduated 2000). I hold an MBA IIM Bangalore, India (graduated 2003) and another Masters in Sustainable Mobility Management from TU Berlin Germany (graduated 2019). I have voluntarily held an “intern” position at the age of 40 in a new industry after holding a VP/SVP equivalent position in my previous industry and then worked my way back upwards (some of my advice may be radical!).

My Mentoring Topics

  • Implementing future scenarios thinking / Corporate foresight
  • Career breaks and industry transition
  • Market development/Business development in B2B space
  • Scaling new businesses (B2B growth stage)
