As a senior engineering leader, I strive to create high-performing organizations that fully embrace transparency with regards to processes and documentation. I coach the managers I lead to be autonomous and self-reliant. Currently, I hold a head of engineering position at Global Fashion Group, the fashion & lifestyle e-commerce market leader in growth markets. Previously, I held a leadership position at Zalando, the biggest fashion & lifestyle e-commerce company in Europe. Before that, I worked at Klarna, then one of the most valuable fintech companies in the world, and Fraunhofer, the largest applied research organization in Europe. My technical background is predominantly in mission-critical backend engineering, with a particular focus on performance optimizations and architecture improvements.

I have a particular interest in process changes as a catalyst for improving the performance of an organization. This is a direct consequence of, after having had the luxury of building a team from the ground up in industrial research, being put in charge of teams facing serious challenges and turning them around.
