I have 10 years' experience working in various engineering roles in the Life Sciences sector, and currently works with Depuy Synthes, a Medical Device company, part of Johnson & Johnson Healthcare. I people manage a team of engineers and coach staff as the lead of our Leadership Development Program for Engineering Management globally. I have taken learnings from 10 years in a high performance sports environment in Ireland, where I have played in front of 60,000 people, into my coaching & leadership roles. The psychology of high performing teams in sport share key similarities with business teams. I coach individuals internally at Depuy Synthes and external in other multinationals & smaller companies. I enjoy working with start-up owners now that I live in one of Europe’s top start-up destinations, Lisbon. I practice solutions based coaching in a non-advice manner. Basically what this means is that you already know what you need to do or what the solution is but you haven't been able to figure it out on your own so I create a space where you get those realizations. The step may be connecting with a Subject Matter Expert or technical mentor or letting people go. Only through discussion do the steps become clear. How can I help: > Transitioning from a technical role to a leadership position. Facing new challenges as you move from being an Individual Contributor to managing people. The skills needed as an excellent software engineer do not necessarily mirror to an excellent Team Lead or Manager. > Understanding your roles and responsibilities are a leader as your start-up grows or you progress in a larger environment > Scaling up a engineering department or business > Career progression, developing a career plan, helping you accelerate your career rise, gaining clarity on your next step, or making a career switch > Looking for more fulfilling work? you are only here alive once so you'll want to make an impact. One question; What's preventing you from doing what you want to be doing now? Looking forward to chatting about this and more
