Melanie Thoma

Based in Germany, I’m currently working as Senior UX designer & researcher for life science & healthcare products. My main focus is on designing products used by scientists, lab analysts, technicians and other people working in a lab (and other environments) to accomplish their daily job easier and more efficient.

I’m responsible for the web application design system and also taking care about design research & evaluation operations. This involves the strategy, processes, tools and knowledge transfer to enable our team to practice design research and evaluation. Furthermore my goal is to improve the UX maturity by involve actively all project stakeholders in the human centered design process. At my daily work I collaborate with teams across the globe, especially with teams in Australia, Japan and the US.

I have a pro-active and solution driven mindset and I love to declutter complexity. I approach problems by focusing and involving the user with quantitative & qualitative methods. When not at work, I like travelling or enjoy great trails in the black forest and enjoying things like cooking, friends & art.
