I'm Sebastian, ~40 years old. I'm a tech-nerd turned general manager, with a lot of experience in building and developing teams, organisational structures, strategy and general organisations in both, professional and NGO roles. I've started programming with a C64 (and never stopped programming), studied Bioinformatics and business administration (executive MBA). I worked in web- and automotive software development, then several years as a consultant for crisis management, incident response and computer forensics for mostly very large corporations. Internally, I've headed our process and product development, rebuilding the internal team structures and building highly functional (remote) teams. Now I'm managing my own fintech/SaaS startup. My NGO experience includes strategy, international team building and workflow/process management, heading (very) large national NGO, press and media relations and public policy. My main interests are people management and building self-reliant and self-organising teams (I dispise micromanagement. It's sometimes neccessary, but should only ever be a step towards personal responsibility and independent working). I really love digitalisation and building efficient digital processes (if you spent more time or money with a digitalized process then with the analog, why ever would you digitalize?), mostly to allow people to concentrate on the difficult parts of their jobs and automate the boring ones. I love mentoring, because I think good mentoring teaches both sides. Mentors and Mentees both can and will learn, reflect on their doings and gain something out of it.
